A-Team Autism Services was developed to provide the highest quality ABA treatment, education and training to members within and surrounding the autism community. 

Our mission is to supply the highest quality education and training standards, including best practice techniques and up to date methods to students, staff and families. 

A-Team Behavioral Services will also contribute to evidence-based standards through research investigations and dissemination of evidence-based practices.

Meet Our Founder

Michelle Fuhr, PhD, LLP, BCBA-D, LBA

Dr. Fuhr is a Doctoral Level Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 20 years experience. As a mother of two daughters, Dr. Fuhr’s perspective as a parent balances her education to allow for an effective yet compassionate therapeutic style. Furthermore, she values an approach that integrates the whole family to support long term treatment changes. Dr. Fuhr values training others (parents, students, professionals) to their highest potential so the clients can receive the optimal benefits.

Dr. Fuhr’s history in ABA within Michigan supersedes Michigans laws that require ABA to be covered by insurance companies. With anticipating insurance changes, Dr. Fuhr, along with others, sought to develop higher education opportunities in behavior analysis in the Metro-Detroit area. Dr. Fuhr has participated in the development and teaching of Oakland University’s BCBA course sequence, Baker College’s previous Behavior Technician course (which primarily educated students who were dual-enrolled in high school), Wayne State University’s BCBA course sequence and current Masters of ABA, as well as Wayne State University’s BCaBA program. Furthermore, Dr. Fuhr was invited to develop and teach a behavior technician course at Macomb Community College. In addition, Dr. Fuhr has taught and developed courses for Capella University’s ABA program. Dr. Fuhr presently teaches at Wayne State University’s ABA program and Macomb Community College’s behavior technician course.

In Dr. Fuhr’s 20+ years of experience, she has presented at several conferences such as Association of Behavior Analysis International (ABAi), Behavior Analysis Association of Michigan (BAAM), and Women in Behavior Analysis (WIBA). She has also co-authored a chapter in the book, Writing Skills for Behavior Analysts.

2005
Dr. Fuhr first fell in love with the field of ABA in 2005 when implementing Floortime Therapy with a client as a summer job; seeing the difference ABA was making in the child’s life inspired Dr. Fuhr to pursue a life-changing career. Dr. Fuhr then pursued every ABA learning opportunity Western Michigan University offered before graduating with a Bachelors in Psychology in 2007.

Dr. Fuhr then continued onto her Masters in Behavior Analysis at Western Michigan University and graduated in 2010. During her Masters degree, she supported students at the assigned practicum site, Croyden Avenue Schools, as well as assisted her advisor Dr. Richard Malott in opening the Kalamazoo Autism Center. Before graduating, she secured a third practicum placement at Children’s Hospital Of Michigan Autism Center.
2010
Upon graduation, Dr. Fuhr was hired as a BCBA at Children’s Hospital Of Michigan Autism Center (which later became University Pediatricians Autism Center; UPAC), where she conducted parent education and school education seminars, trained high school students to implement ABA services, oversaw practicum students and grew a clinic as the Director of the Clinton Township location.
2024
Dr. Fuhr returned back to school to earn her PhD in Behavior Analysis and graduated in 2024 from Capella University. Her dissertation, titled ‘An Evaluation of Textual Prompts Embedded Into an Electronic Data Collection System On Treatment Integrity Of Task Interspersal,” is the first research conducted on treatment integrity with regards to a commonly used electronic data collection systems.
2026
Within the 16 years at UPAC, Dr. Fuhr’s experiences became more diverse as she supported clients aged 18 months to 26 years, and grew an autism center that employed over 35 staff and 4 BCBAs as the Director of Clinical Operations.
